Front Desk/Client Service Specialist

John Vanderzicht Memorial Pool is currently seeking a part-time (15-20 hours per week) Client Service Specialist to provide excellent customer service at the front desk. This is a fun work environment and offers something new every day. On-the-job training is provided.

Job Description:
The Client Service Specialist is responsible for addressing the varied needs of our patrons and provides essential support to staff members. In the role of Client Service Specialist, you will be expected to develop and maintain a thorough understanding of all District programs, rules, policies, etc.

Duties include: greeting and checking in patrons, processing payments, enrolling patrons in various programs, providing accurate up-to-date information regarding programs – including schedule and fees, report preparation including bank deposits, maintaining numerous activity logs, answering and directing calls on multi-line phone system, taking detailed messages, selling concession items, light cleaning tasks, other duties as assigned.

* Excellent customer service skills
*Friendly, helpful attitude that helps ensure an inviting drama-free environment for customers and staff alike
* Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills
* Previous cashing handling experience- experience counting money and making change
* Basic computer experience/knowledge
* Strong basic math skills
* Excellent multi-tasker who is comfortable working in a fast paced environment
* Outstanding attention to detail
* Be a quick learner and readily able to adapt to change
*Ability to work & problem solve independently
* Reliable and hard working with a positive, outgoing personality
*Punctual & ready to work attitude
*Ability to follow dress code (no gym clothes, jeans with holes, etc)
* Be able to lift up to 25lbs. (occasionally)

As a Client Service Specialist, you will often be the first person a visitor to our facility sees and interacts with; as such, it is imperative that your appearance be neat and clean.

We are currently seeking an individual with flexible availability during our operational hours (5:45am-9:00pm Monday-Thursday, 5:45am-10:00pm Friday, 9:40am-9:00pm Saturday & 9:40am-8:00pm Sunday). We may also consider a candidate who has availability on weekends and 9:30-4:30pm Monday-Friday. Must be able to commit to part time employment with the understanding that under normal circumstances the position will be 15-20 hours per week; occasionally you may be scheduled for 20-28 hours per week based on the needs of the District.

Starting Pay: $11.00 per hour plus employee discounts on select District programs.

Opportunity for some additional hours AFTER six months of employment with demonstrated job knowledge and outstanding performance.
